Does anyone at UC Berkeley know anything about a program where you can “import” majors from another college?
Question by p1mpedoutp1zza@sbcglobal.net: Does anyone at UC Berkeley know anything about a program where you can “import” majors from another college?
I would like to major in Exercise Science, which is not an available major at Berkeley. The closest major they have is Nutritional Sciences, which has many of the same aspects…only on a much more molecular level when it comes to the nutrition aspect. I am not interested in exactly how the body breaks down nutrients and what not (as would be studied in the Nutrition major), but rather in how the body is affected by the different nutrients in a more general sense (as would be studied in Exercise science).
I have heard from a few friends that there is a program that allows you to take a Major offered by another college and show the curriculum to a councilor and have them evaluate it and find similar courses at Berkeley, allowing you to major in a field not offered at Berkeley.
If you have any info regarding this i would appreciate the help.

The obvious best answer….
Contact Cal Berkeley.
Anyone here can’t promise you anything. They are the ONLY ones who can say for sure. It would be a quick solution and more accurate than any other.
Also, have you been to the campus? Go visit, ask your questions, and have a good time.
Best wishes,
Mike
